split-tail climbing 3 Years ago
Can anyone refer me to a good visual presentation of how to properly set up and use a split-tail climbing system? Thanks,

Check out "A Tree Climber's Companion" by Jeff Jepson, great book. You can get it New Tribe (that's where I got mine). Check out this _link_:

Keep Dick Flower's book in mind when researching these type of topics.

Tree Climber's Toast: may we climb a 100 year old oak tree together, and may we plant that tree tomorrow.

This also might be helpful, from Tree Buzz. It talks about using both open and closed hitches in split tails. (At least I hope this is the _link_. The computer I'm on won't open pdf's.) As always, when trying something new, be sure to practice "low and slow" until you're comfortable and confident with your new setup.
