Rope was aboutr 5' from trunk. Not a great feeling but I trusted it.

I have not condemed the tree. Major worry is whole tree failure. We will be doing a pull test (Statics Integrated Method) on two trees on this site. This method is on my front burner and we have three tests done so far this year (with help from Ontarion and Germany).

Scott Altenhoff was telling me that he has had comments from Arborist pals that are freaked at the SRT sets he trusts.

How about some tips for setting and tieing off and deciding to trust the set for the initial ascent...any one out there with experience?

Scott

You are asking a new question. Please start a new topic thread. It will make things a bit more organized as far as subjects are concerened adn draw more response from those that know SRT well.

Sorry, this is off topic as well.

Scott I have seen that static pull test demonstrated and I found it really intriguing. What's your experience with it like?
