We got a hank of this rope to try from Petzl. The rope is quite stiff. I was not able to tie a blake's in it. I did a couple of SRT climbs, but was unable to get my Petzl Stop to hold without sliding. I'm not sure if this is related to a waxy coating on the rope as it is new, or the design of the rope.

Sorry, after I re-read the post, I'm not sure I was talking about the same rope.

What is the big deal if it DOES milk. This usually only happens on those first few descents...then it is a non-issue.

I will put up with the milking if the tree excels in all other aspects!

Then here's to the oak, the brave old oak,
Who stands in his pride alone!
And still flourish he, a hale green tree,
When a hundred years are gone!
