Market access to products be they House or Su.

As a recreational climber my gadget bag overflows. I am constantly on the hunt for new products and ideas. Often it is very difficult to find nitch products. A good example of this is a device called the Unicender made by Thompson Tree Tools LLC. Another favorite of mine is a company called A. R. T. they make the latest must-have item called a Spiderjack. Priced at a blinding $400, it will be a while before one finds its way into my gadget bag.

The point of my rambling?
The House & Su sleeve are outstanding products and are very affordable, but let’s not forget that someone had to perfect it and then bring it to market. This effort is critical to advancing the sport of recreational tree climbing. If I have to buy and suffer through ten bad products just to get to an outstanding one like the fore mentioned rope sleeve, so be it. To me it is well worth my expense and effort. Gadget discovery is a part of the overall joy of the sport and the people like House, Su, New Tribe, etc… that go through the effort of making these products available to us common folks is greatly appreciated.

Keep em’ coming,
-Ej-

Friction Saver Pictures 1 Year, 6 Months ago
Electrojake, Now that you mentioned the use of nice tree gear. I was reading the article posted at the (old) TTC site Resources area by Johnny Wong from Malaysia and I saw a new use for the TreeTramp sleeves. Look under Johnny's feet and you will see a friction saver cut in half and used as feet rest in his set up. I never stop getting amazed by how creative you guys are. Nice article from Jonnhy and great pictures. I look froward to being retired myself and be able to hang around trees all over the world too. -> Cool

I salivate at the thought of having free time to enjoy the planet and its trees & people. <retirement, some day, but not quite yet>

As for you, Oldtimer, I know you will be using every moment of your retirement in an appreciative manner. Go climb trees and share your skills with all newcomers’ who might catch you in the act!

PS: Thanks for the Jonny Wong foot rest info.
