Feature in Chiltern Hills Newsletter 1 Month, 1 Week ago

As I reported a few weeks ago, Dave and I climbed and measured a 39.2m Giant Redwood not far from my home in England and passed the details to the coordinator of the Chiltern Special Trees & Woods Project, Liz Manley. This project is documenting all the notable trees in this part of the country. She has featured it in the summer newsletter - see attachment, saying that I've discovered the tallest tree in the Chiltern Hills. (I don't think it is though. I think there is one at 41m somewhere ) Michael

The attachment didn't work. If you want to see the newsletter go to www.chilternsaonb.org/caring/stwp_news.html and download the summer newsletter. It's a 4 page .pdf and my feature is on page 1 on the bottom right hand side.

There is, nevertheless, a certain respect and a general duty of humanity that ties us, not only to beasts that have life and sense, but even to trees and plants. --Michael Eyquem, seigneur de Montaigne
