The Vous 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
I made it back to the West Coast last night. I'm very glad I attended the rendezvous this year. The presenters were amazing and the people I met were great too. (no surprise there really)The only drawback was that while I was doing all that cool stuff I was missing all the other cool stuff. I will be there for the next one for sure! Maybe then I can catch Tom's class and Nicks class and hopefully climb with more people. I liked the idea of the group climb but had to leave early on Monday. Maybe we could break or create the world record for the most tree climbers aloft at once! Thanks again Peter and Patty and all those who helped pull it off.

Happy climbing!

Will

Great climbing with you Will as always. The pervasive spirit of good will at the Rendezvous made this one a mighty powerful experience. Agree with Will that the only frustration was not being able to climb with everyone and attend every presentation and workshop. The tree family came together in a big way, all I can say is WOW! and thanks.

For the next one lets make it longer! We need more days to take it all in and perhaps some days devoted to spending time in the trees with no workshops scheduled.

I was so happy when Mark F and I were talking about doing a massive group climb, then 5 minutes later Moss comes to our table proposing a GREAT idea...a massive group climb!

My favorite climb from last year's rendezvous was when we had like 13 people in the same tree.

This year my favorite climb was surely the last climb of the weekend. We had a bunch of folks in our beech (Me, Adrian from Michigan, Mark F, Paul from NZ, James the bug guy, and Ginny and Craig) and there were tons of people climbing around us. We need to do more of that.

Will and Moss- agreed. GREAT rendezvous...but yeah, I could see it being longer and still going over well. I'm not sure, but if it's great, why stop doing it! I also like the idea of having time with no classes so we can alllll climb together.

World record for most climbers in a tree at one time? Hmmm...I know of about 13. There's GOT to be a tree that had more than that, though.

love

What a great Vous! I think I still owe you some money Nick for setting my rope and advancing my line in that beech tree The group climbs are a definite must for next year. Five of us (Brandon, Liz, Kelley, Christin and myself) did a night climb sunday and I really enjoyed that group climb as well. The group dynamics make for a very enjoyable climbing experience. It was my first but certainly not my last Vous!
