Building a better web site. What additions would you like to see? 4 Years, 11 Months ago
This is our first major change to this site in many moons. It will take me some time to get used to this message board but I think it is a big step forward in pulling tree climbers together worldwide.

Some of you might have a wish list or ideas that could make this site leap forward for the sake of trees and tree climbing. Don’t be shy. Let us know what you are thinking because you never know when you have hit on something big until you share it with others- no matter what your age is or how outlandish your ideas are.

Some of you have seen many other web sites. If you see something that really rocks on another site that might be useful here, let us at TCI know.

May all your climbs lead to discoveries and joy.

message forum suggestions 4 Years, 11 Months ago
Hi Peter,

Just a suggestion, can you have the message board viewable without logging in? It seems to me that a very valuable service it offers is a way for people interested in learning about tree climbing to "lurk". I think the requirement for registration deters this. I agree that registering and sign in is essential in order to post to prevent spam and porno.

As always, your site is a first "hit" when someone searches for tree climbing on the web. Why not make it more accessible while maintaining the needed security?

We had to remove the _link_ to the TCI site from our site due to the spam and porno. We will gladly add it back with your permission.

Thanks,

Bob

Photo gallery update 4 Years, 11 Months ago
Any chance of creating a photo gallery upload page? It may require exploring new software, but could be a great resource.
I'm sure there are more pictures from all over the world.

And what's up with the ivy on the menu border? Isn't ivy a vine?

To change your password, click on Control Panel/Options in the upper right of the screen. Then click on "Edit Profile." You profile will be displayed and you can type in a new password in the "Password" box. After you click on the "Edit Profile" button at the bottom of the screen, you'll be taken to the signin screen again. Sign in with your new password and then you're all set!

The possibility of the message boards viewable without login 4 Years, 11 Months ago
HI Bob,
I will check into the suggestion that the message board be viewable without logging in. Right now we have good security from spam and porno trash but I do not know if the security would be compromised by having the boards open for all to see. I do know that by having to login, you derail the “bots” from crashing your site as “bots” can not reply to personal requests for identity information.
