This is the kind of place that Swampy Joe would love to visit and explore.
"The trees were weathered and gnarly. Some assumed fantastic shapes. One tupelo had lost nearly all of its _base_. A tiny strip that remained formed an 8-foot-tall arch, with a trunk growing up from there."
