Rain could be quite easy to deal with if a treeboat was mounted to a single limb. So long as there are not other branches growing up or out over the hammock, you could set a tarp up with the branch as a ridgepole.

This looks like a pretty tipsy setup to me. But then again, you'd be tied off pretty close

Also, Portaledge is making a tree model now that looks like it might have a lot flatter "floor" to it.

Speaking of rain cover, any of you use mosquito nets with your Treeboats?

In anticipation of the Atlanta Rendezvous "tree village" I picked up an inexpensive single point suspension mosquito net from REI for my treeboat, now to see if it can be set up effectively.

The new buzzz...
there is a new mozzie net for the treeboat in development.

After spending many nights in the tropical rainforest, dodging flys and mosquitos, I came back to New Tribe with a new design.
Result - the prototype is awesome

The premier showing will be next month at the Rendezvous, in Atlanta, during Viola's treeboat workshop.

Tengu, I am looking forward to see you guys in a couple of weeks and to see some of your photos from your South American Adventures. Also, to get the heck away from this oppressing heatwave that we have 'round here for the last six months.

More info by private message (Included arrival times)

Hope we do not get another hurricane by Rendezvous time!

Take care and see you soon
