Thanks for the "heads up" Moss. Koch and Sillett (two of the guys mentioned in the article) have published research that pretty well proves that the tallest trees are limited by water transport, and that the biggest coastal redwoods are pretty close to what the physics says is possible.
Now I wonder how big the trees could get on a planet with lower gravity...
