Hmmm, do I need a bike? Should I bring a cart? How far are the trees?
The answer is is at http://www.gmap-pedometer.com I've been using this site to map running routes at work. It even shows you how many calories you burned.
Here's a route from the lodge, to what I think is the Cal-wood main gate. May need to zoom out a little to see the line between points.
Interesting. Though I'm not sure you'll be able to run a straight line over the actual terrain. Keep in mind that the main parking lot is due right (east) of the entrance to Cal-Wood as marked on your map (near a barn and other buildings there). So it is about 1/3 mile from the parking lot to the lodge. You are also welcome to drop off stuff near the cabins next to the lodge, then return to the parking lot.

Bring your pictures from previous Rendezvous years. I have not seen all of them and some are pretty good. For many climbers this will be the first one but for some we have great memories of the previous years to share. Wondering if I should bring my portable PC to show and tell. Nouht... too much junk! Six more days for my departure!

Then here's to the oak, the brave old oak,
Who stands in his pride alone!
And still flourish he, a hale green tree,
When a hundred years are gone!
