those are awsome pictures guys! there are some pondies that size close to my house and i have considered climbing them, but those downward sloping branches and the giant pitch globs make me think twice. i know you said that it smelled good, but was all that pitch an issue for your gear? again, great pictures. i love how thick ponderosas can have that slow taper.
