Ziontree,
I tension the rope slightly, I have the rope run through a pulley with acts as a tender for the four wrap prussic which ends up holding the line. I sit (tied in) below the line and pull down on the rope appling my body weight untill sufficient tension is reached. For every 10m of length I have approx 1m of weighted sag in the line, if on a horizontal run. 'down hill' runs have a little less sag. I've included a pic of my set up. Any comments? I would love to hear some feed back on my set up. I'm pretty sure i've included all the details. I apologise in advance for the size of the image if it is too large, I’m unsure if it is.
Oh i almost forgot, i carry my ascenders with me to climb out of the sag in the traverse

Nicely done diagram, if it was any smaller it wouldn't be legible. -moss

Too many things do not point to pros, in addition to other things listed-No long pants, the harnesses do not look like a rescue organizations type of gear, and how many photographers do they need?

Hi Aussie Nice diagram. Just wondering do you use static ropes for the tyrolean and back up lines or do you like a little stretch? How long does this system take to set up? It looks like climbing both trees and the whole rig would take alot of time? Cheers

Hey ziontree
I use a BlueWater II + for the main line. For the Back up line I use a semi static rope (can't remember the manufacturer) Depending whether I have a groundie with me changes the time a bit, but last time I set it up solo as I remember it took about 2.5 + hours of solid non stop climbing and knotting. Yeah it takes a fair amount of time but I enjoy both the setting up and use of the traverse. Time isn't really an issue as I only begin to set this up if i have a whole day of climbing.

Then here's to the oak, the brave old oak,
Who stands in his pride alone!
And still flourish he, a hale green tree,
When a hundred years are gone!
