I've been thinking about a new rope and poison ivy seems to be a big hit. I often use RAD when going high srt. I use a gri-gri and it is rated to 11 mm. I believe poison ivy is 11. ? . Has anyone been using poison ivy for srt?

Sitka,
Thanks for the responce. I did some practicing down low with afriends PI and it worked fine. Next time i climb with him i'll swap ropes and give a trial. I have heard a lot of good things about PI, and nothing negative from users.

I love mine. I bough my first one when it first came out and I have stuck with it. I have both the hi-v version and the regualr and prefer the hi-v color. I think it handle and wears very nicely. And with a longation of 1.7% it makes a nice line. And it is easy to splice as well.

I got my hi-v yesterday in the mail and have been tieing it in knots - i find it very soft and a little hard to back out of a knot - but at this time i have not climbed with it nor set it up in a tree - OH MY it might get dirty. the color is BRIGHT and reminds me of a little green snake - really soft - time will tell if I like it and stick with it - as my other choice was fly in the red
