Greetings from a Newbie! 1 Year, 4 Months ago
I am quite certain that the constant inundation of newcomers may be a bit redundant, but here's my contribution!

Hello, I'm Will Hawkins from Decatur, Ga. I have just recently (<24 hours) completed TCI's basic course and rigging class taught by the illustrious Treeman. I am looking forward to many adventures amongst the trees, and I just wanted to begin connecting with you fellow climbers. I would love to learn from the wealth of knowledge and experience that y'all have and might be willing to share. Thanks in advance!

Cheers!
Will Hawkins

Hey Towhee,
Neat little web site ya got there.
Has a nice blue collar flavor to it.
Bio Diesel; one of my Sons favorite subjects. . .
40 foot containers packed with mechanical stuff; one of my favorites. . .
And when we’re not swinging a wrench around here, we are climbing trees!

Welcome aboard TCI!
Regards,
Electrojake

Not a bad tree name. 1 Year, 4 Months ago
Not everyone here knows birds Towhee. So fill us in on why you chose that name. Now you can really get us going if you take out one of your long lenses and get a shot of the real feathered thing.

Towhee is an award winning photographer by the way. So you photographers in this crowd might want to exchange u2u messages on that subject.

The Eastern Towhee has long been a perennial favorite bird of mine. They always seem to be singing from the undergrowth, "drink-your-teeeeee!" or their familiar call of "shriiinkk!" Thus, it seemed a natural choice for a name suitable for lofty explorations.

Then here's to the oak, the brave old oak,
Who stands in his pride alone!
And still flourish he, a hale green tree,
When a hundred years are gone!
