Rendezvous drumming? 1 Year, 3 Months ago
Anyone interested in a drumming circle at the rendezvous...on the ground or aloft?

Aloft would seem to be the most appropriate.

There should be plenty of sticks around...my head is hollow enough to make a good drum

Strong limbs and single ropes!

I am new to drumming, but ever since i went to the first one ive thought how cool it would be to do this IN a tree, or under a tree, FOR a tree and WITH a tree! Ive started a collection of misc sound making items for people to take aloft...should this opportunity come about.
Bring 'em if ya got em, grab one if ya dont!
Didge....VERY cool! Tom...put some beans in there (your head) and shake it!

Always up for drumming, don't have one to bring. Follow the lead of woodpeckers and find a resonant dead branch to hammer on.

Tree to Tree messaging? 1 Year, 3 Months ago
Great idea!! Sound carries great distances while in the treetop. I suggest differet percussion instruments be brought along. I'll bring a few myself. I used to be an avid drummer back in the 60's. Always wanted to do a tree to tree sound beat with other percussionists.

Then here's to the oak, the brave old oak,
Who stands in his pride alone!
And still flourish he, a hale green tree,
When a hundred years are gone!
