Bee-you-tee-ful pics, thanks for posting them.

I like that you called it the "Cal-Wood Retreat", 'cause that's what it was, a temporary sanctuary for tree climbers to refuel and enjoy.

I did the same thing Greg did, descended to the bottom of the rope loop on a double-crotched traverse. It's a trap but the symmetry is nice to look at The short version is I wanted to go get some dinner but I didn't want to give up my hard won tie-ins, selfish me. The trick is I left about 2 feet of rope between the hitches so I was able to get started again when I got back, after I climbed up my lanyard to get to the hitches.

He knew he would make it to the ground...and he did! It was a great learning and photo op for future reference!
