Climbing 2 trees in Topanga Canyon 1 Year, 2 Months ago  
Yesterday Greg and I (and Karina, too) went to Topanga Canyon and climbed 2 Coast Live Oaks (Quercus agrifolia). The trees are named Tank and The Hammock Tree.

It was neat because on this same day the LA Orienteering Club was having this big race/get together thing, and one of their clues led all the orienteers to the big water tank under the tree Tank (hence the name). Lots of people saw us climbing!

I only have a couple pictures. Karina brought Club crackers and gouda cheese. We had cheese and crackers up in the tree!

Here's a neat pic...some one had made a Andy Goldsworthy _style_ eco-art project. They took some grass reeds and made a fency thing between one of the Hammock Tree's lowest branches....
