OK Xylem. Fill these folks in on your chosen name. Some folks might not know what the heck xylem is. You certainly had a good explanation for this arborist. Do tell all.

TREEMAN!!!!

Hey. I am selling my telescope so that I can get a tengu saddle. I have all of my other equipment and have climbed several times with a rappelling harness (it was not comfortable).
I made a slingshot that is posted on newtribe.com under the technical matters page. Check it out.

I was thinking about bringing one of my friends to one of the beginners climbs one Sunday next month. He thinks that tree climbing is so cool.

I am reading "The Wild Trees" and I see that you are mentioned. How cool. Is there a movie about these guys that climb redwoods?

Hey Treeman, I think that I will take the Rigging Course next year. Do you teach it?

I'll check out the slingshot. One of my favorite tools since chilldhood!

I do indeed teach the Rigging Course.

As for the redwood movie. I had a production company from Hollywood contact me on just that subject after the book was published. Wanted me to find him a crew of climbers so he could shoot "an extreme sport". I gave him the cold shoulder and shoved him in the direction of a research climber (no names mentioned here) as a joke, knowing beforehand his stance on recreational climbers invading wilderness trees. I've had no contacts from these clowns since. My feelings towards the main stream people climbing the old growth trees aligns with the researchers. LET THEM BE!

Hey - you never did address the issue of your climbing name. You ain't shy is ya?
