First of all, Congratulations, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary! What a fantastic opportunity it will be to attend the Rendezvous, for so many reasons! Of course, I'll get to work on scheduling to be there, right away! Wow!

Question: What language should be used when negotiating with school officials to allow school-age kids to be considered to be engaged in home-schooling while attending the BTCC and the Rendezvous? ...if that's possible. Again, Congratulations!

Thanks for your really nice message. We'll look forward to meeting you at the Rendezvous!
We will welcome children to the 'Vous if they are over the age of 13, but only if they are already skilled climbers and can be climbing with a parent the whole time. This is not really an event that we expect school-age children to attend.

Is there any way for those of us who are local to participate in some or all the activities without staying at the facility? I'm happy to pay a workshop fee.

In a word, yes. We will work out a fee for local participants. I'll have to get back to everyone with a price, though. Sorry 'bout this--it's one of those details I forgot! I'll post it and put it in our Rendezvous info as soon as I can.

No problem, and no rush! Just hated the thought of not being able to attend unless I boarded all my pets and left home for 4 days.
