From what I understand, deltas may be loaded from any direction. So right or wrong, I use mine point down on my Tengu. It's a lot easier to add a second biner or two when you have the flat bar of the delta on top.

For what it's worth, I will be changing over to the larger pear shaped screw _link_ soon. Should have ordered it that way in the first place. Lots more room for attachment with that.
