My Rendezvous Report 2 Months ago
I just got back from GA and I am happy that I took the time and money to make it to this year's TCI 25 Anniversary and Rendezvous Celebration. The location at Simpsonwood was great. Large trees for all types of tastes. The Rooms were very nice and the service including the food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the presentations by TCI Japan, Splicing with Nick and the Arboriculture Careers. I had the opportunity to visit old friends and to make new ones.

I want to offer my sincere congratulations to Patty and Peter and everyone else that contributed for making all the preparations for this big project a success. I am not sure of the final head count but my estimate is that over 100 climbers from all over the place where present there. France, Japan, England, South America, and a large bunch From almost every state of the Union from Oregon to Florida and from California to Maine and all places in between!

Here is a photo of my new best climbing friend:

I am looking forward to see other perosnal reports posted soon.!

I was reading this post in the Tree World Web site and one of the programs for the Queensland Arbor Camp 26th - 28th September 2008 event includes Recreational Tree Climbing as part of the event. How about that!
Check it out here: Scroll down to the sixth post or so from EKKA.

How right you are!!! I was there with Desi...I used his camera to take that shot.

We were about 50 feet up and planting a Treeocache when we bumped into Mr. Possum...it was a great discovery. He only spit and hissed a little...held his ground and let us pass...a day full of adventure.

I failed to give credit to Gary Pantheraba) for his photographic talent. HE got great pictures of the possum at close range that you can see at my flickr site.

And another good one with a new Climber friend from England;
