I have only ever used one other helmet, so I don't have a lot of perspective, but my knoggin feels very safe and comfortable in the vent, so I certainly can't complain about it. One time I had a 14oz. throw-weight come back down that bounced weird off of a branch right above me and the impact was absorbed completely by the helmet, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I've heard other people talk about it's weight, and I was concerned about that because I can easily get headaches from hats that are too tight or heavy, and I've never had that happen with my vertex vent. I appreciate it's versatility in terms of ventilation (living in the north and using it on both hot and cold climbs), and it feels extremely durable.

For the climber who really enjoys the process of the climb, and truly appreciates their comfort once aloft, this saddle is a keeper and a half. I'm not sure if I could imagine a more comfortable saddle in terms of what changes I would make. I am constantly using the different attachment points, and am a huge fan of the leg loops. And after spending several nights in my Tengu (and pleasantly forgetting that it was there), I would recommend this saddle to anyone wholeheartedly.

I adore my poison hi-vy. It is a very pleasant rope to use, both aesthetically and practically. I have never encountered an issue with it in most weather conditions that I would even want to climb in. I have used it extensively for both SRT and DRT, mostly blake's hitch with DRT, and often with a 10mm bee-line split tail. I have noticed very little wear on the rope ends where hitches get tied, and would recommend this rope to anyone. I honestly really love tying and untying knots in this rope.
