What will the ambience be like around your climbing tree? Once you get past the initial thrill of being aloft, the surroundings become more important. What can you see below from up in a tree? It may be very entertaining to watch what folks do as they walk or drive below you. Depending upon leaf cover, you’ll be invisible to everyone, so you can be mischievous with animal noises and such. Maybe you’re looking for a hilltop or mountainside view? If you’re a bird watcher or naturalist, will a bird’s eye view in this tree be helpful? Or are you climbing solely for some peace of mind? Folks who want a break from the busy world might choose a country rather than urban setting.
