Sunset climb was created by moss
I already had a haul line installed in this white pine in woods near where I live. I'd climbed it once but just got up into the crown. Was getting close to sundown but without the normal hour or so of throwing and line setting involved with installing a rope in a woods conifer I had a chance to get a good climb in and watch the sun go down from the top.

This tree is a fine example of a mature coastal white pine, the top has been broken many times by winter storms coming in from the ocean, each regrowth of a new leader creates a zig or a zag depending on your perspective. The tree is in the 105' height range, well above the deciduous forest canopy in this woods and typical height range for mature pines in far eastern Massachusetts.

Hey Moss, that looked fun. It would have been neat to see what it looked like from the side. We don't have many of those around here; only when people plant them.

Cheers, Caleb
