New Climber, NW Indiana

Hello all
Just touching base and chiming in as a new climber. I have a few large oaks and cottonwood on the property and will be getting my feet wet in the next few weeks.
Ran through the standard tutorial and been up a few times...great fun!
Looking into different methods of ascending and techniques.

Welcome wgyure. A RADS (AKA Yoyo) system seems to be intuitive for a lot of new climbers, and a good next step if your using the standard closed blakes hitch climbing set-up that Treeman teaches. A foot ascender also helps a lot.

I'll be doing a number of short trial climbs to sample some of these techniques as well as some single rope.
